Awesome God and His Master Plan |

There are so many great passages of Scripture about Jehovah God. I would like to share with you Isaiah 40:12: “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?”
I had never heard a lesson or sermon preached on this passage of Scripture, yet when I first read these words, it demonstrated to me a dramatic picture of what a mighty God we serve.
I was raised in the Pacific Northwest on the Puget Sound. I was surrounded by water and I developed a deep love for the seas, lakes, and rivers of that region. I never tired of watching the ferryboats from Seattle as well as the naval ships coming into the port of our town. To walk down to a sandy shore and take in the beauty of God’s nature always had such a calming effect on me. I so enjoyed the water.

God loved. God gave. God keeps on loving. God keeps on giving.
My dear friend, you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. He uniquely designed you with special abilities, gifts and talents. You are loved with an everlasting love. Within you are placed the capabilities to be creative and you are designed for success.
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” (Psalm 139:14).
“…Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love…” (Jeremiah 31:3).
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us…” (Ephesians 2:4).
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…” (1 John 3:1). I am God’s wonderful workmanship. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…”(Ephesians 2:10)All of us have been given a wonderful gift by God in Heaven. His son, Jesus paid the supreme price for all our sin, failures and sorrows. He gave His all so that we can be redeemed and set free –- yes, absolutely free. God is offering the gift of an exchanged life and it comes with a Priceless Treasure that contains riches, wisdom, truth and hope. You could call it your Manual of Life, The Holy Bible.

I want us to continue to address this very important question of Who Am I. You are special and dearly loved by a God who uniquely made you with a one-of-a kind finger print, personality, creative gifts and talents. He has great plans for you and a destiny with purpose. (Please go back and review the past two teachings on the website.)
The following verse of Scripture continually encourages me: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
We are body, soul, and spirit.
I wish I had time to share with you some wonderful truths on taking care of these bodies of ours but I will leave it for another time. However in passing, just let me mention a most important Scripture that gives strong admonition. “Know ye not that ye are the temple (our body) of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17) Our bodies are to be maintained in such a way as to honor God.
